Lexmark Company History

by Denise Parreira

Welcome to our Lexmark company history overview! This company’s printers were always considered to be good value for the money, particularly for the low to mid end home printers. Lexmark has a relatively short history, especially when compared to the giants such as Hewlett-Packard or Epson, as it was founded in 1991, right in the brink of modern computing industry taking off to the moon. This convenient timing resulted in worldwide presence and brand image development and today, Lexmark represents one of the key players in the printing business, with more than 9,000 employees working under its name. A decade ago, the company decided to go bust on the inkjet technology, which did pose a challenge for future development and competition handling, but Lexmark is here to stay.
